I bought the TV for the cottage for some casual viewing. Television does that. It is lightweight, relatively easy to set up and then it just works. But.
LG's webOS is garbage that shouldn't be on that TV. Slow, hiccups, 70% of the home screen takes up blank space, or ads. Some of the TV settings don't work at all. Want to see the home screen instead of the last TV channel when you start up? You can set it up, but it will only work sometimes. The controller is basically functional, but you have to press the buttons correctly or they don't respond. If you have bigger fingers, it's probably easier. Thanks to the plastic construction, the TV is lightweight, but the legs of the stand are so foil-like. Don't buy it if a child or pet will have access to it, as they will easily knock it over (yes, it's that light and flimsy).
The sound is lousy, but I don't mind. Alternatively, just buy a soundbar and you're done.
A separate chapter is the collection of user data, for which LG does not seem to need consent. Even though it asks you for it in the initial setup, if you don't, you'll still find personalised ads and similar ballasts automatically turned on in the settings that you have to manually turn off. Some may not care, I think it should be optional and not automatically enabled.
Bottom line, it's functional, you just have to play around with it a bit and accept the ills of WebOS. But when you plug in a Chromecast, you actually get 80% of the negatives out.

I bought the TV for my parents (elderly), mounted it on the wall and then put it into operation. Everything OK until you need to install something. In my case, it was the T-Mobile Magenta TV app. If you don' t sign in to an LG account (in MT it' s the LG ThinQ app), you won' t be able to download anything, unfortunately. This could be a problem for some older people. This is my only complaint about otherwise decent TV.
