SSD Verbatim SureFire PyroDrive je standardní externí USB SSD a podle dostupných specifikací by měl být kompatibilní také s Linuxem. Výrobce sice v některých materiálech uvádí primárně podporu Windows a macOS, ale jiné produktové specifikace zmiňují i podporu Linuxu.
Recenze zmiňující nefunkční kus proto s větší pravděpodobností souvisela s konkrétním vadným zařízením nebo konfigurací daného systému, nikoliv s obecnou nekompatibilitou produktu s Linuxem.
Pouze doplňujeme, že dodávaný software pro správu RGB podsvícení a zálohování je určen pro Windows, ale samotný disk by měl pod Linuxem fungovat jako běžné externí úložiště.
