TP-Link EAP772 může fungovat samostatně, ale pro plné využití funkcí, jako je Omada Mesh, AI Roaming, Captive Portal a Cloud Access, je potřeba Omada SDN kontroler. To znamená, že pokud chcete využívat všechny pokročilé funkce a mít centralizovanou správu více přístupových bodů, doporučuje se použít Omada Cloud-Based Controller nebo Omada Software Controller.
