Možné to je, přístroj má minimální vlastní spotřebu, ale je to zbytečné, zabírá pak místo v zásuvce, kde můžete mít napájení třeba navigace čí mobilu. Stačí ukazatel vložit do zásuvky jen pro kontrolu napětí baterie před startem a pak i za chodu motoru jako kontrolu dobíjení, pak lze vyjmout.
