Cat6 podporuje až 10 Gbps a frekvenci 250 Mhz. Cat7 podporuje také 10 Gbps ale frekvenci až 600 Mhz. Troufnu si tvrdit, že pokud nebudete roztahovat kabely na desítky metrů délky, v domácím použití rozdíl nepoznáte.
