V paliciach je použitý skrutkovací rozperný mechanizmus. Skrutkovaním proti smeru hodinových ručičiek povoľujete, v smere uťahujete. Povoľte teleskopický diel, nastavte požadovanú dĺžku a utiahnite. Pokiaľ dôjde k úplnému vyskrutkovaniu závitu, je možné teleskopický diel úplne vytiahnuť a skrutku opäť nasadiť.
