Pedál M-Audio EX-P je navržen jako expression pedál pro ovládání parametrů, jako je hlasitost, modulace nebo panoráma. Není určen k použití jako sustain pedál. Pro funkci sustain pedálu je vhodné použít model M-Audio SP-2, který je pro tento účel speciálně navržen.
