uvádíte, že připojení je možné pouze prostřednictvím Smartlife brány se Zigbee protokolem. Znamená to že je třeba jen a pouze Smartlife brána nebo bude zařízení funkční s bránou, která podporuje Zigbee protokol (např. brána Philips Hue)?

philips HUE je brána určena pouze na ovládání osvětlení, samozřejmě můžete využit i jiné brány. Ideálně však využít bránu přímo výrobce.
