mám dotaz k funkci cellular. Znamená to, že zařízení má slot na sim kartu, kterou lze zakoupit u operátora (karta +nějaký tarif nebo kredit).
Musí být tato nová sim karta vázaná na nějaké existující telefonní číslo? Nebo je možné sim kartu aktivovat bez vazby na telefon/telefonní číslo?

Ano, iPad mini ve verzi Cellular má slot pro nano SIM. Případně je možné si vyžádat u operátora e-SIM, tedy virtuální kartu.
Mělo by se jednat o duplikát Vaší karty, ale samozřejmě nemusí. Většina zákazníků si dělá duplikát z toho důvodu, aby mohli na iPadu přijímat zprávy a hovory i bez přítomnosti svého iPhonu.
