Vybrali a koupili jsme si u Alzy koupili nový počítač Dell Inspiron 3020 Small Desktop, ale nedaří se nám připojit k internetu prostřednictvím kabelu od poskytovatele připojení. Jde o "starý" síťový kabel LAN Ethernet. Strčit jde jen do zdířky pro připojení Wi-Fi. Vybrali jsme chybně anebo jen děláme nějakou chybu při připojování? Marek Houžvička

Tato konfigurace Dell Inspiron 3020 Small Desktop disponuje bezdrátovým přístupem k internetu přes Wi-Fi: karta Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac 1x1 (Dual Band) + Bluetooth 5.0 (pásma 802.11a/b/g/n/ac).
Lze se tedy připojit klasicky přes bezdrátové Wi-fi na domácí Router.
Nebo je možné s Routerem PC připojit přímo přes LAN kabel na RJ45 konektor. Router si již sám nastaví IP adresu a automatické DHCP. (případně pokud jde o ADSL, je nutno připojit do RJ45 ADSL modemu, za ním může být opět Wi-fi domácí Router). Ověření funkčnosti LAN portu RJ45 na Dell PC lze pohledově, pokud svítí a blikají diody na portu, je napájení a komunikace funkční. Ideální je zde spíše využít linku podpory providera internetu a použít doporučené nastavení providera.
