Kreatin by se správně měl brát ve dvou fázích.
První, nasypávací, která trvá sedm dní, při té byste měl brát 20-25g kreatinu denně, podle vaší váhy. V tomto případě se tedy jedná o něco okolo 25-35 tablet.
Druhá, udržovací, při které se bere 2-3g kreatinu denně, tedy 3-4 tablety. Ta by měla trvat 4-6 týdnů, kdy se ze zdravotních důvodů (přetížení ledvin) doporučuje opět vynechat. Kreatin se dostane na své přirozené hodnoty opět v rámci několika týdnů.
