The Pro-ject T1 EVO BT is a turntable that aims to deliver true hi-fi sound at a surprisingly low price. The manufacturing process and choice of premium materials result in an elegant, stylish design and a rich, vibrant sound. The 'EVO' in the name signifies that this is an evolution of the older, acclaimed T1 turntable series. The design of the EVO model focused on both improving user convenience (by adding electronic speed switching) and enhancing sound quality – it comes with a pre-installed Ortofon OM10 cartridge (originally the OM5). The internal Bluetooth transmitter has also been upgraded to version 5.0 with high-resolution aptX HD.

Heavy glass platter with peripheral damping
No plastic parts are used in the chassis, which is carefully crafted to have no hollow spaces inside. This effectively eliminates unwanted vibrations. The Pro-Ject T1 EVO BT turntable is fitted with a heavy, zero-resonance glass platter. This design results in the perfect elimination of resonances, which are common in other cheap solutions with platters made of plastic, aluminium, or other lightweight materials. The purpose-designed feet ensure optimal isolation of the turntable from ambient vibrations and reduce the possibility of acoustic feedback.
Modern features for high-resolution wireless streaming
The Pro-Ject T1 EVO BT turntable is the ideal addition to a modern home. In addition to a built-in phono pre-amplifier with a line-level output, which lets you connect the turntable to any amplifier (even one without a dedicated PHONO input), it also has an integrated Bluetooth 5.0 aptX HD transmitter. This allows you to wirelessly transmit the signal from the turntable directly to Bluetooth speakers in the best available high-resolution quality.
An affordable audiophile turntable model
The belt from the T1 EVO BT's motor drives a new, larger sub-platter, which sits in an ultra-precise (0.001mm) main bearing with a hardened steel axle and brass bushing. This well-thought-out drive system is the foundation for the anti-resonance platform, ensuring the smooth and stable rotation of the platter necessary for the tonearm and cartridge stylus to track the groove accurately.
Precision low-friction tonearm and high-quality cartridge
The straight tonearm of the Pro-Ject T1 EVO BT turntable is based on proven Pro-Ject designs. An effective tonearm length of 8.6”, a rigid one-piece aluminium construction, and a superb low-friction bearing are all important aspects for tracking accuracy. The headshell is integrated into the tonearm, and besides its elegant look, this solution prevents vibrations, offering a significant improvement over commonly used detachable, glued, or otherwise mounted headshells. The T1 EVO BT turntable comes with a pre-installed high-quality Ortofon OM10 MM cartridge with an elliptical diamond stylus, delivering a lively and precise Hi-Fi sound that is definitely not standard in this price category.
No complicated setup required
The T1 EVO BT turntable is delivered from the factory with the cartridge correctly aligned and the tracking force set. After unpacking the turntable, you just need to put the drive belt on the sub-platter, place the glass platter with the felt mat, and add the dust cover (all included). No further adjustments are needed – simply connect the turntable to an amplifier. A highly shielded phono cable with semi-symmetrical geometry, low capacitance, and RCA connectors, designed by Pro-Ject, is also included.
