Calibra VD Dog Oxalate & Urate & Cystine Granules are designed for adult and senior dogs of all breeds with urinary tract disease. The food is a complete veterinary diet designed for the dietary management of oxalate, cystine and urate stones and for the long-term prevention of their recurrence. A special low-protein formula with a selected egg protein source and modified mineral content promotes urine alkalinization (potassium citrate) and reduces the relative supersaturation (RSS) of oxalates, urates and cystines, an important mechanism in the prevention of urinary stone formation. The formula also includes a Urinary Tract Health Complex made up of a blend of herbs, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids to support urinary tract health.

Feeding instructions for Calibra dog kibble
Consultation with a veterinarian is recommended before starting or extending the use of pellets. To reduce the formation of oxalate stones, it is recommended to feed for up to 6 months, for cystine stones from the beginning to 6 months, and for urate stones for 6 months, or for life in case of irreversible disorders of uric acid metabolism. Ensure your dog has a sufficient supply of fresh water. The granules are low in protein and alkalize the urine, which is especially important for cystine stones. For urate stones, it is important to limit the total protein content, with the protein used coming from selected sources such as dried eggs. The food can be fed dry or slightly moistened. The recommended daily ration is given in the feed table and should be adjusted according to the current health of the dog.
