ALAVIS HEMAGEL and its effects

It chemically binds the oxygen radicals that are created during inflammatory processes, creates an optimal pH in the wound and thus aids healing. The proven structure of the gel prevents gel particles from being released into the wound and causing subsequent irritation. Adds moisture to the wound, preventing it from drying out and forming a scab. It has an absorbent quality, thereby cleaning contaminated wounds. It reduces wound pain and supports wound closure with a scar. It softens and improves the appearance of the scar during treatment and is anti-inflammatory.

Directions for use:
Clean the wound of mechanical impurities, e.g. dust particles, or residues from previous treatments that could subsequently irritate and damage the wound. Open the tube by piercing it with the reversed cap. Apply a small amount of gel to the entire wound bed. The gel will adhere to the wound bed and gradually absorb secretions and other fluids from the wound. Apply the gel as needed, at least once every 24 hours. For greater effectiveness, it is advisable to cover the wound with a sterile square, preferably made of non-woven fabric. The dressing materials should extend about 1cm beyond the edge of the wound. Change the dressing as needed, at the latest after 24 hours, until the problem disappears. For infected wounds, we recommend more frequent dressing changes. The application of the gel does not replace the administration of antibiotics for severely infected wounds. The effect of the gel is manifested by swelling. The unique technology of the gel prevents it from sticking to the wound, thus allowing for very easy, painless removal by gentle wiping. Follow the recommendations of your veterinary surgeon.
Warning:
The product is self-sterilising – it can be used for its entire shelf life after opening. No side effects such as allergies, increased pain, etc., nor any other contraindications have been described with the use of ALAVIS Hemagel. The product must not be used after the expiry date marked on the tube. In the event of side effects (increased pain, redness, etc.), discontinue treatment and consult a veterinary surgeon.
