Vitamin D3 Axonia Orofast® 1000 IU

The sublingual spray contains a proprietary nanoemulsion with vitamin D3 microdroplets of approximately 100-200 nm in size, which allow rapid absorption of cholecalciferol into the bloodstream directly through the highly vascularized sublingual mucosa. This achieves a higher bioavailability of vitamin D3 by bypassing intestinal absorption and reducing the first-pass effect through the liver.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D contributes to normal immune system function, normal bone and dental health, normal muscle function and normal blood calcium levels.
In children, vitamin D is also needed for normal bone growth and development.
Falling is a risk factor for bone fractures in men and women aged 60 years and older. Vitamin D helps reduce the risk of falls, which are clearly linked to unstable posture and muscle weakness. This beneficial effect is achieved on the basis of a daily intake of 20 μg of vitamin D from all sources.

Ingredients

Water; emulsifier: polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate (polysorbate 80); thickener: glycerol; medium-chain triglycerides; antioxidant: esters of fatty acids with ascorbic acid; vitamin D (cholecalciferol); seasonings; preservative: potassium sorbate; acidity regulator: citric acid; sweetener: sucralose.

Recommended dosage

The usual daily dose for adults and children aged 12 years and older is one injection (1000 IU/25 µg of cholecalciferol), or an equivalent dose given at longer intervals, e.g. once a week, once every 14 days, or once a month. For children over 3 years of age, the usual daily dose is 500 IU of cholecalciferol, which is achieved by administering 1 injection daily. One dose (one injection) of VITAMIN D3 AXONIA OROFAST® 1000 IU sublingual spray contains 1000 IU of vitamin D3. The daily dose of cholecalciferol is determined on an individual basis, taking into account age, lifestyle, eating habits, overweight or obesity, current sun exposure or skin colour.

Method of administration (instructions for use):
Shake the bottle before use. Apply pressure to the plunger and inject the emulsion into the mouth, preferably under the tongue (sublingually). Leave the emulsion in the mouth to allow it to be absorbed. Don't swallow. In the case of the need to apply several injections in one day, we recommend allowing sufficient time between injections to absorb the emulsion from the previous injection. Swallowing the emulsion is not a bad thing, however, this loses the advantage of this application form.
