The nJoy Renton 650 UPS with Line-interactive topology provides an apparent power of 650VA and a real power of 360W. This line-interactive UPS operates with a wide input voltage range of 162 to 290VAC and automatically detects the mains frequency of 50 or 60Hz. This allows it to handle instability in the electrical grid without unnecessarily switching to battery power. In battery mode, it delivers an output voltage of 230VAC with ±10% regulation in the form of a simulated sine wave. The automatic voltage regulation (AVR) feature actively corrects both undervoltage and overvoltage, extending the life of the internal battery and protecting sensitive devices. The UPS with AVR includes four Schuko sockets, all of which are fully backed up.

Performance and voltage stabilisation

This nJoy Renton 650 UPS operates with an input voltage range of 162–290V and automatically detects the input frequency of 60 or 50Hz. The built-in automatic voltage regulation (AVR) stabilises the output voltage without needing to switch to battery during normal mains fluctuations. In battery mode, it delivers an output voltage of 230V with a tolerance of ±10% in the form of a simulated sine wave. The transfer time to battery is typically 4ms, ensuring uninterrupted operation for most computers and electronics.

Battery and runtime

The UPS contains one GP05121F battery, which takes 8 hours to charge to 90% capacity. The backup time depends on the current load; at 25% load (90W), it is 15 minutes, while at 50% load (180W), it provides power for 4 minutes. The cold start function allows the unit to be started even without a mains power supply. It also charges when turned off (Off-mode charging), so the battery is always ready for use.

Protection and indicators

The unit protects connected electronics against overload, deep discharge, overcharging, and surges. After power is restored, the auto-restart function automatically turns the unit back on and begins recharging the battery. The unit communicates its status via clear light indicators and audible alarms. The system indicates individual operating states, such as battery mode (yellow flashing and a sound every 30 seconds), low battery (yellow and red flashing with a sound every 2 seconds), or a fault (continuous sound).
