Application in washing machine:
1. Thoroughly remove any detergent residue from the detergent dispenser.
2. Put the clean garment in the washing machine.
3. Measure 3 full caps (150 ml) of NIKWAX Down Proof for one garment.
4. Set the washing machine to the synthetic programme (30 °C) and select a low speed when wringing.

Application manually:
1. Immerse the garment in a container or basin of warm water so that you can keep your hands in it.
2. For clothing, use 3 full caps (150 ml) for one piece of impregnated clothing. Clothes must be fully submerged in water. For sleeping bags, use six full lids (300 ml) in a tub where the water is approximately four centimetres deep. Have your sleeping bags professionally cleaned after 3 - 4 seasons!
3. Soak well in the bath and leave to soak for about 5 - 10 minutes and then soak properly.
4. Use cold water for soaking and keep soaking until it is clean. Wring out the excess water with your hands and let it drain.

Drying:
Hang the impregnated garment or sleeping bag in an airy environment and shake it regularly. If allowed by the manufacturer, tumble dry at a low temperature.

Warning:
For best results, remove all parts not suitable for washing and wash in Nikwax Down Wash first. It is not necessary to dry the items before impregnation with NIKWAX Down Proof, but shake them well. Respect the symbols on the specific product. To maintain the impregnation of down products, always use Nikwax Down Wash Direct to clean them. Do not use detergents. Keep out of reach of children. Do not take internally. Protect your eyes.
