Raising the bar yet again the D7200 offers sharp photos and full HD video. With a large 24.2Mpx DX-format CMOS sensor and Expeed 4 image processing maintaining higher quality all the way up to ISO 25600, images boast a very wide dynamic range, low noise and rich colour gradation. Free of an optical low-pass filter, the D7200 produces remarkably pure, sharp photos and videos. Its 24.2 MP DX-format CMOS image sensor works together with EXPEED 4 image processing and NIKKOR lenses to enhance detail and tonality. It increases the overall performance of the camera, delivering superior image reproduction, high ISO sensitivity and high-frame rates when recording motion pictures.
Focusing with phenomenal precision
Whether you’re capturing images in daylight or after dusk, the D7200's superb AF system will keep up. Its Advanced Multi-CAM 3500 II autofocus sensor module achieves outstanding focus detection, even at a very dim -3 EV (ISO 100, 20oC/68oF). Its high-density 51 focus points cover a wide area of the frame in DX format and most of the frame in 1.3x Crop Mode, while 15 cross-type sensors in the centre provide higher detection strength. 51-point AF module Multi-CAM 3500 II was taken from professional Nikon cameras.
Next-generation Picture Controls make it easy to alter the characteristics of your images, and a collection of outstanding Image Effects can be applied to both photos and videos in real time.
Don't let the dark stop you
The camera offers basic sensitivity range from ISO 100 to 25,600. The D7200's built-in flash can wirelessly trigger and control remote Speedlights with i-TTL communication in Commander Mode.
Cinematic Video
With video features inherited from Nikon’s professional cameras, the D7200 is a highly capable moviemaking tool, with the Multi-area D-Movie function offering all the flexibility required for photographers who want to shoot better video. Recording Full HD movies at up to 25p/30p, there is also the option to switch to 1.3x crop mode and record at up to 1080/50p/60p. Taking full control you have the ability to create the movies you intended with an array of intuitive settings. Shoot with auto ISO control in M mode in order to make smooth transitions between dark and bright areas, use Zebra mode to see exactly where highlights are blown and apply the flat picture control setting for easier colour grading in post-production.
The Nikon D7200 will allow you to catch shots others might miss
With its 6 fps continuous shooting capacity, the D7200 is an outstanding choice for sports, wildlife and other fast action. It has a large buffer capacity that can handle up to approx. 100 shots of continuous shooting when in JPEG/fine/large; up to approx. 27 shots in 12-bit lossless compressed RAW or up to approx. 18 shots when using 14-bit lossless compressed RAW and DX-format image size. Switch to 1.3x image size and capture approx. 7 fps in continuous high-speed mode.
CONTINUOUS SHOOTING CHAMP
Spectacular light trail shots or star trails can now be achieved with the continuous shooting mode. Using a continuous release mode (CH or CL) and a shutter speed set at 4 seconds or slower, keep shooting for as long as your memory card and battery life allow.
Beautifully rendered time-lapse movies
The Nikon D7200 lets you capture time-lapse movies with continuous exposure gradients. The time lapse scan function stores snapshots as movie files, and allows you to fast-play slow-running events.
Nikon D7200 Remote Control
Share your outstanding photos with no hassle, even when on the go using the D7200's built-in Wi-Fi and NFC. Just touch your compatible smartphone or tablet with NFC to the D7200 to establish a Wi-Fi connection. Once connected, you can use your smart device to browse photos on the D7200 and then share your favourites by text message, email or posting online. The Wireless Mobile Utility wirelessly connects your compatible iPhone, iPad and/or iPod touch or Android powered device to compatible Nikon digital cameras, letting you download photos, take pictures remotely, and share them hassle-free via e-mail or upload to social networking sites. To get more options in wireless shooting, you can use a wireless transmitter / receiver WR-R10 wireless transceiver and WR-T10 or control camera settings using the wireless remote control WR -1.
