The Netgear GS716T is a top-of-the-line configurable switch with high power, low power consumption and easy web-based management. The switch is armed with 16 gigabit ports that provide up to 2,000 Mbit/s throughput as they communicate in both directions and support Jumbo frames. The RJ-45 port in the interface adds a pair of SFP slots to connect optional mini GBIC modules to create a long distance optical network. Each port automatically detects the correct speed and full/half duplex mode, and Auto Uplink automatically adapts itself. The intuitive web interface greatly simplifies port configuration, transmission and performance checks. Settings can also be made using SNMP software.
