Modding is all about the look of your PC. Whether you're into spectacular light effects spectacles or minimalist artwork, you'll find everything you need to spruce up your computer in this category.
While PC Case modding should make your look great, they must also be functional and practical. The ideal PC case should have plenty of ports on the front panel and enough dust filters. One effective PC Case mod could be a transparent sidewall, ideally without any frames.
PC Lighting- Modding made easy
Adding modding PC Lights is the easiest way to cosmetically enhance your PC Case. It takes the form of a LED strip, which you just place in the PC case and plug in and then you can experience the modding light as a feast for the eyes. RGB LED strips are most commonly connected using MOLEX or a dedicated 4-pin RGB connector.
The basis of a quiet computer is, of course, a quality PC case and quiet components. But there are also ways of modding the soundproofing of the PC case. The easiest solution is by using insulating materials, which can be simply taped to the inside of the computer to absorb any noise that escapes.
Anti-vibration posts are also an important feature to prevent vibration transfer between the enclosure and the fans. Plastic washers under the screws in the PC Case work similarly. A fan speed controller can also be of great use. When the computer is idle, you can virtually turn the fans off, and when it's under heavy load, you can get the most out of them.
Modding for PC Cooling
The cooling system has several functions, just like the cases. As well as being efficient and quiet, PC cooling can also have a vital cosmetic function. To get the greatest visual effect, the fans used by the PC cooling system should have backlighting. Cheaper models are sold with preset colours, while better models offer a choice of colours along the RGB spectrum.
Modding for PC Power Supplies
PC Power Supplies should not only be of good quality and reasonably powerful for the rest of the build, but they should also have modular cabling. This allows you to connect only the cables that the components need and avoid interfering with the smooth working of the PC Case with excess cables. Poorly organised and unused cables can have a negative effect not only on appearance but also on airflow. Organising power cables is therefore easy modding.
In addition to the components used, the quality of the power supply also defines its efficiency, which should be as high as possible. It is measured in percentages from which the power losses of the source can be easily determined and to make it easier to navigate, 80 PLUS certification has been introduced.
