Mikrotik RB493G

The RouterBoard is a flexible, compact network card that can work as both a router and an access point. In WDS mode, it supports bridge functionality between two networks. The RB493G is more powerful than the RB493AH, offering twice the amount of memory as well as faster LAN ports. The processor is clocked to 680MHz and it has 256MB RAM. Another bonus over previous models is the USB 2.0 port, which makes it possible to connect a flash-disk or an external HDD to the RouterBoard and use it for FTP storage etc. You are also able to connect a 3G modem to create a Hot-Spot for other devices. The three miniPCI slots have been retained and are ideal for installing a Wi-Fi card.
Nine 10/100/1000Mbps LAN ports provide the ideal solution to share internet in, for example, smaller apartment buildings, without the need to purchase additional equipment. An RS-232C (COM) serial port is also included. The pre-installed MikroTik RouterOS v3 Level 5 operating system, that fully supports IPv6, static and dynamic routing, firewall, DNS, and several other features, is stored on the NAND memory. The RouterBoard can either be powered by a classic DC adapter or via the LAN network cable through PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology, avoiding the need to have the RouterBoard installed near a power outlet.
