Virtual reality is the future of virtually every industry, and perhaps that is why Acer has decided to build its own model. It is a headset called Microsoft Windows VR headset that does not require extra powerful PCs. Microsoft promises to add direct support to virtual, enriched and mixed reality in the autumn update of the Windows 10 operating system.
Relatively recently, Microsoft announced the creation of Windows Mixed Reality (WMR), which enables the massive expansion of cheap VR glasses through the software kit. The glasses handle tracking movements and orientation in the space without external sensors. They connect to the computer using two cables, as is the case with regular virtual reality glasses. Via HDMI 2.0 images stream, USB 3.0 will takes care of data.
The first applications are expected to include various games, multimedia playback, 360° video and photos, or virtual tours of exciting places. It will also be possible to use the headset for normal work in Windows 10 instead of the monitor. This seems like a very interesting option.
