License Remote Desktop Services
Remote Desktop Licensing Services manages the Remote Desktop Client Access Licenses (RDS CALs) that are required for individual devices or users to connect to a Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server. The RD Licensing service is used to install and issue RD CALs on a Remote Desktop license server and to monitor their availability.
The Remote Desktop licensing mode configured on the Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server must match the type of RD CALs that are available on the license server.
