Nowadays everybody wants a tablet, but they often lack the comfort required for writing longer texts. The new Microsoft Surface Book 2 looks like an ordinary laptop at first glance, but its body is deceptive. It has a luxury display separable from the keyboard. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is on its way to becoming legendary in the computer hardware arena.
Microsoft Surface Book 2 comes with the popular 2v1 system where the screen is detachable from the keyboard and can be connected and reconnected, even at 180 degrees. It avails of a well-thought-out joint called Muscle Wire. To remove the display, you must press a button, but in all other cases, the display remains firmly in place.
The tablet itself avails of a display with an impressive resolution of up to 3240 × 2160 pixels at 267PPI. To control such a large area, you'll use a stylus that is packed with up to 1024 pressure levels. The surface of the display is completely immune to scratches. Inside, there is an innovative processor from the latest Intel Kaby Lake Refresh platform that will complement NVIDIA's dedicated graphics core within different configurations. The storage will then serve up to 1TB of SSD. There are options in the area of wireless connectivity - WiFi 802.11ac (2 × 2 MIMO) and Bluetooth 4.0. There is also a pair of cameras with 8Mpx resolution (back) and 5Mpx (front).
The tablet itself normally lasts about 3hrs, but immediately after it is inserted into the keyboard dock, this shoots up to 12hrs when playing a video. The keypad comes with quality and backlit buttons with a 1.6mm stroke and the large touchpad has a glass surface that can distinguish up to five touches at any one time. On the left-hand side are two USB 3.0 ports, an SD card reader, a mini Displayport and there is a charging port on the right-hand side.
