Zdeněk Matěj Kuděj, in his book Adventure Travel, recalls his experiences from the wanderings he undertook with Jaroslav Hašek in 1913 in the Czech lands. The author's work reflects the diversity and multifaceted nature of Kuděj's life experiences and his knowledge of different social environments and human types. Their often very unsparingly trenchant descriptions can still fascinate listeners today and tell us a lot not only about the pair of adventurous writers, but also about the times in which their experiences together took place.
