You're someone else
The very title of Marcella Marboe' s dramatic social novel, You' re Someone Else, announces the final insight to which the individual protagonists gradually reach in several plot levels. Insight from illusion, which someone gradually created around them like a spider' s web, who intruded into their lives under a false identity, whatever his motive was – from trying to hide his fatal failure in the past, despite the desire of an insignificant person to be rich, admired, beloved by women, for a desperate escape from the inability to cope with the pitfalls of life in today' s complicated world. Whatever the reasons and intentions of those who create illusions about themselves, the result of their actions can be nothing other than the hurtful disillusionment of their victims and total havoc in the subsequent interpersonal relationships of all involved. The novel is exceptional for its gripping plot, exotic environment, spreads the narrative scope, empathetically portrayed characters and a philosophical outlook, which offers the reader an interesting probe into the problems of the contemporary world and people, who must live in it.
