In the third book of the Emerald Bay trilogy, Lexi's dream came true. He finally moves from the Australian outback to the picturesque seaside town of Emerald Bay to study marine biology. As always, she is perfectly prepared and has planned every step precisely. However, a disturbing factor in her plans is her meeting with Jake Mills, with whom she has only negative memories. And to make matters worse, this son of two famous oceanologists is now not only studying with her, but has even been assigned to work with her as a partner on an important research project.
Jake is the opposite - he lives day to day and takes nothing seriously, except for photographing the underwater world to help save the ocean. And so these two outwardly completely different people who hate each other have to learn to get along. And the longer they work together and get to know each other, the faster their prejudices disappear. They are united by important themes - love for the sea and its protection, relationships with their parents and dealing with a serious illness.
