A shocking domestic thriller reminiscent of the novel Behind Closed Doors
Angela meets Jason at a party for which she is providing refreshments. She is convinced that their romance will be a short-term fling, as it is usually the case between summer guests and locals. But to her surprise, Jason, a successful economics professor, has other plans. They're getting married the following summer.
Marriage is a great opportunity for her to start anew and differently. She moves with her son to Manhattan, where no one knows about her tragic experience in her youth. Plus, he and Jason make a perfect couple.
Six years later, Jason is a well-known personality thanks to the success of his book and his growing notoriety in the media. But this suddenly gives too much attention to Angela, who doesn't want it in the slightest. Their perfect life begins to crumble when one of the interns at the university makes an accusation of sexual harassment against Jason and another woman, Kerry Lynch, comes forward with an even more serious allegation.
Jason claims he's innocent, and Angela believes him. But when Kerry mysteriously disappears, Angela has to rethink her perspective: both the man she married and the woman she chose not to trust.
