Cyril and Methodius have many statues not only in our country. But reading about statues with a stern look on your face is not much fun.
The Thessaloniki brothers have therefore taken a step aside in this book and are normal people with strengths and minor flaws. Yet they are not at odds with what history has left for us about them.
In the book, Soběbor, called Soběk, keeps pace with the brothers. He can make whistles and he can play them beautifully. And most importantly, like Forrest Gump or a hundred-year-old man who jumped out of a window, he can be in the right place at the right time, and so he occasionally pushes the course of history.
