The life stories of three women set at the end of the last century
From the immature groping at the turn of the sixties and seventies to an age that brings - if not wisdom - at least insight.
Ladena, Kamila and Ilona. They are each different, they perceive and experience love differently, marriage, motherhood, but also a serious illness, social and political changes or problems at work. They all come from a small, remote village in the Polabí region, from where they tried to escape as soon as possible in their youth, only to return there with humility for the rest of their lives.
It is there that they meet after a long break during the floods of 2002. Life is far from over, they can enjoy its joys, but the embarrassments and troubles of their youth can now be laughed at. The stories have been published separately in the books When You Laugh and The Station of Love Deferred.
