Wavesbury – Miss Support

In the midst of a divided India, Earl David Wavesbury, then Lieutenant Colonel Wavesbury, is preparing to accompany Robert Clive on an expedition against overwhelming odds. After losing an officer, he'll take any replacement he can get. Young Second Lieutenant John Ferrel, however, is hiding more than one secret. Even after returning home—now alongside his beloved Elizabeth—Wavesbury has no time to enjoy his family's happiness. Their honeymoon doesn't go exactly as planned when an old acquaintance of Elizabeth's appears, wanting to use the rebel's daughter for his own political aims. Elizabeth faces a difficult choice. Can she bring herself to stand with the Duke of Cumberland, the Butcher of the Highlands, for her husband's sake?
On top of everything, rumours are circulating that Wavesbury's Barbados plantation is haunted. Earl Wavesbury is sceptical of anything supernatural, but his steward's request for intervention is so urgent that he cannot afford to ignore it. When the attacks on Elizabeth's life begin to repeat, Wavesbury is forced to act. Could a single, unknown enemy be responsible for most of the preceding events? Someone in the background with their own agenda?
