All the places I took my family
The most beautiful journeys are the ones we take together
Taking Mum and Dad to Africa? I can heartily recommend it! But I must also warn you against it…
In this new travel novel, I take you on three separate expeditions – to the peaks of the Himalayas, into the jungles of Sumatra, and through the deserts and savannahs of Namibia. You'd be hard-pressed to find more different places, but for me, they have one thing in common: after years of solo expeditions, I travelled to all of them with my family. The Himalayas with my parents, Sumatra with my wife, and Namibia with everyone at once.
Set off into the world with us and see for yourself that the most important travel question isn't where, but with whom.
