Underworld - Artefact

Why is someone trying to kill the essentially ordinary Sam Barnet? Someone is desperately trying to get rid of her. What’s more, the circumstances of the attacks are strange, to say the least. So strange, in fact, that Sam starts to investigate on her own. She discovers that behind her escapades lies a very special Artefact, an unexpected secret called magic, and a world of mythical monsters… Sam finds herself in the unimagined corners of the mysterious Underworld and begins to navigate its charms and pitfalls. In her fight for survival, she doesn't hold back on the cynicism or her unique sense of humour…
