On the far side of the Moon stands Ultimus, a prison for the worst criminals of the inhabited worlds. This is where Kuba Nedomý and Dědek Čuchák, antique dealers based in Arcadia, arrive in the role of robotics specialists.

It was supposed to be the best deal of their lives. It turned out to be a trap set for them by their old friend, police chief Mantella. In Ultimus, they fall into the clutches of Enigma, the most powerful criminal organisation in the Lunar Commonwealth. Suddenly, they are up against everyone – criminals and guards, robots, mutated para-organisms, and toxic scrap that has spiralled out of control.

And when the determined activist Perla, fighting for robot rights, gets involved in the whole affair, Kuba and Dědek will have their work cut out for them just to save their own skins…
