Bruno and Žanek are two peers who are brought together one day by a happy accident. Thus begins the story of an extraordinary friendship that frames not only his first relationships with the girls, but also their shared interests in sports and cars.

How will the end of the First Republic and the beginning of the occupation affect the lives and friendships of our heroes?

The story is set in the multiethnic Brno of the second half of the 1930s. The fates of the inhabitants, the local realities and the language of the time come alive in front of the eyes, convincing the reader that life is not black and white and that you can never know how you or your loved ones would act if you were faced with difficult decisions in difficult times.
