Trolleybuses

The trolleybus systems in the Czech Republic and the world have certainly not said the last word. “ Hit“ Today's hybrid battery trolleybuses are capable of running (even if only for a few kilometres) off the overhead lines.

Trolleybuses are now being followed by electric buses, which are becoming effective helpers of public transport in many cities. A completely new feature is electric trucks, for which experimental trolleys are being built on motorways (for example in Germany or Sweden). The book deals in detail with the history of trolleybuses and electric buses, as well as their production and operation in the Czech Republic and also in Slovakia, which was part of the former common state for many years.

The main world manufacturers, an overview of the most interesting trolleybus systems at home and abroad, a number of interesting historical and contemporary photographs, and maps of Czech and foreign trolleybus operations prepared especially for the book are also included.
