Together with the bees

Can bees live naturally, even when kept in an artificial apiary?
Yes, in a top-bar hive. In his latest book, beekeeper and populariser of beekeeping, Miroslav Urban, explains just that – and so much more.

"I photographed the bee's nest with my mobile phone using natural light directly inside the hive, without disturbing the calm work of this unique community. When processing the photos, creating the book's graphic design and writing the text, I used only solar energy from an off-grid system located near the apiary. I collaborated with the ecosystem of the bee landscape, and the book itself became part of it."
