Thinking Boundaries / Thinking Limits

The philosopher should have the courage to stay on the border between different disciplines, to become their mediator, but to speak his own language. On the occasion of his jubilee, students and colleagues of Miroslav Petříček have published a number of their own thinking and research, which, following his example, ventures into this risky area. The exceptionally strong line-up of authors from several generations has a wide range: from astronomy to animation, from Proust to The Borderers. In all these fields and in many others Miroslav Petříček left his inspirational mark.
