The Ways of Kaban

Ghan was not a devil. But it wouldn't have taken much for people to see him as one. The only thing he had in common with the horned ones was a birthmark. It was thanks to this that he survived when he was found as a child in the tunnels under Mount Kaban. His whole life he had hoped that his mark would bear witness, but as they say: “Wishes come at a price.”

He longed to become a demon – to be one of them. But instead of honour, he is met with rejection, and he must flee the only home he has ever known.

Can he survive in the world of humans? Will he find the path he is meant to walk? And can he escape the she-devil who is hot on his heels?
