The universe decided otherwise

Riva is fed up with life. For a long time, she has felt that she just doesn't belong, and this feeling gets stronger every day. There is no reason to even try. Perhaps if she had been born in another time, country, dimension… perhaps it would be different. Perhaps even better.
However, just as she is fighting the final battle with herself over whether to stay or finally disappear, she encounters a stranger who does not belong in her life, or even her universe, but for whom Riva is the foundation of everything. Can fate be wrong after all, or is everything predetermined with no possibility of change?
