The Swarm (part 1)

A fisherman vanishes in Peru, without a trace. Norwegian oil-drilling experts encounter strange organisms that have taken over hundreds of square kilometres of the seabed. Meanwhile, a horrifying transformation of whales takes place off the coast of British Columbia in Canada. None of this seems connected, but biologist Sigur Johanson does not believe in coincidences. Indigenous whale protector Leon Anawak also reaches disturbing conclusions. Disaster looms, and the search for its cause confronts scientists with their worst nightmares.
