The Secret History of Bornn follows on from the novel The Celtic Gate. It is also the first volume in the The Last Metropolis series.
After returning from the Celtic Gate, Gowery is stuck in the city of Bornn and cannot leave. To keep himself occupied, his friends suggest he investigate a new phenomenon, a so-called “online game”. However, the game is not as innocent as it first seems. Gowery witnesses the violent death of one of the players and finds himself in danger. To protect himself and his friends, he must delve into the secret history of Bornn, which is dangerous in itself.
