The Secret Diary of Queen Kunhuta
A young writer and historian discovered in the library of an Austrian monastery a bundle of parchments with a Latin manuscript allegedly containing the diary of the Czech Queen Kunhuta, the second wife of Přemysl Otakar II. She translated it into contemporary Czech, edited it and now presents it to the readers. Although it is not certain whether this is the Queen's authentic diary or a later forgery, it is, in any case, a gripping and passionate confession of a woman who was propelled to the head of the Bohemian state by the dramatic events of the 13th century.
