The psychology of human resilience
Effective adaptation to constantly changing conditions is a fundamental condition for the evolution of the human species and for the individual survival of each person. Therefore, the issue of coping with various life demands and adverse influences is one of the central themes of contemporary psychology. The publication focuses mainly on the more general context of the adaptation process of humans in coping with the demands placed on them, using theoretical and empirical knowledge obtained by the author and other researchers. Attention is also paid to the practical possibilities for individuals to develop their resistance to stress. After all, who wouldn't want to cope with the demands of life without major problems and successfully overcome even the most challenging or crisis situations? This can be achieved in different ways: from the relatively simplest acquisition (training) of specific procedures suitable for certain situations to a deeper penetration into the essence of stress phenomena, which this book offers.
