Robert Bryndza introduces his first standalone psychological thriller!
Maggie is a successful doctor, and with her husband, Will, they are living the life they always dreamed of. One day, however, a man who has been shot is brought to her at the hospital, wearing familiar clothes. Maggie's life first comes to a standstill and is then turned upside down. Despite all efforts, Will cannot be saved, and Maggie is convinced he was the victim of a burglary. But the police report is clear: Will pulled the trigger himself.
Maggie is devastated by grief and gnawing questions. Her husband was not suicidal. He had so much to live for. After the funeral, Maggie goes to their holiday home on a small Croatian island to escape reality. But reality catches up with her even in this deserted place, and it is much darker than she expected. It all starts with a letter that Will wrote to her in case of his death, which contains clues that reveal a terrifying secret.
As Maggie pieces the fragments together, she discovers that Will's death is connected to someone from his past… Someone who will do anything to silence her too.
