The common denominator of the twelve young adult stories by contemporary Czech authors is the Christmas season during which they are set. In addition to well-known names in Czech youth literature, such as Theo Addair, Anna Musilová or Kateřina Šardická, the book also offers some surprising debuts. You will follow the trail of a Christmas crime, get stuck in a café during a snow calamity or make a daring attempt to save the carp. But Christmas is not just a time of peace and quiet. Often these are holidays of melancholy and sadness and our heroes experience not only happy moments but also many disappointments, pain and loss. But when else but at Christmas can we hope for happy endings?
