The Second Novel from the World of the Borderlands
The ancient forest of Izironk has long been the home of the elves. Its inviolability was guaranteed by dozens of treaties. Now, a war is being waged over Izironk. At the same time, something else has happened. The forest of Izironk has gone mad and become an enemy to all.
Everyone who is nearby is drawn into the war: humans, elves, and orcs. Soldiers and warriors, settlers and lonely wanderers. Some resist, others allow themselves to be controlled and enslaved by the forest. Some seek out battles, others avoid them, but even they must ultimately fight for their lives.
Again and again, the question is raised: what caused the forest's madness? And is it still possible to heal the forest of Izironk?
