Exotic and mysterious is the world of Eternal Transmission, inhabited by many different races and monstrous monsters. It's a world that doesn't know fire.
In an environment where fire is not freely present, the economy, and the very existence of entire nations, is dependent on the mechanical transfer of energy through endless transmissions. Reliable power delivery is made possible by quality transmission belts - and they're made of leather. All the politics, nefarious intrigues and brutal battles between the various clans revolve around the supply of hides for transmission belts. The sea peoples of the Snakemen supply the skins of giant sea serpents and fight bloody local wars with the Cattlemen, who in turn trade in the skins of giant Bryzon. And somewhere high above them whistle the Highlanders, a strange people living in symbiosis with the mountain spiders. Can anyone ever win in the endless war for Eternal Transmission? The answer, and many other things, will be revealed in one of the bloodiest stories in Czech fiction.
