There is a problem to be solved that was accidentally caused by two supernatural entities
One of them is artificial intelligence, the other is entities of the astral world. The remedy must be made before people notice. However, it is not possible to implement it in the astral world, nor in the AI electronic networks, but it is necessary to intervene directly on Earth, where both immaterial entities have very limited possibilities to manipulate the material world.
So they are forced to cooperate, which they have never done before. The Astral provided Yaran from the sphere of Saturn, while the AI procured a material human body for him and provided technical support, consisting of a direct link to both the Astral and the block of layered processors controlling the city's infrastructure.
But the last time Yaran was on Earth was some 50 years ago, and not as a human being, but as an evoked demon, and abandoned ones at that, in the godforsaken Carpathian Mountains, not in an advanced megalopolis, that is Baltimore. So trouble was brewing even before the event started.
