Kowalski, a chemist, has managed to build a hydrogen bomb, and all the world's secret services are interested in him. And also the Prague journalist Hana Spurná, who received a letter from her editor-in-chief E. E. Kische is tasked with setting up an interview with the scientist. But when the publicist arrives in Ostrava, she witnesses the robbery of a chemist's laboratory and finds herself in danger, but fortunately, the foreign professionals are always there. It turns out that the scientist has let himself be represented by an actor's double so that he can complete his research in Iceland in peace. There's also a shootout at the end and some daring stunts by a British agent in the air.
